I just wanted to let you know that our family is back in the good ‘ole United States and very happy to be back! We arrived in Seattle on September 5th and spent a week reunited with my (Lisa’s) family in the Seattle area. We are now back at home in White Salmon and slowing adjusting to life here. All the kids seem so glad to be home and some of the issues we were dealing with while away seem to have disappeared. I believe that living in Malawi was taking its toll on our children and was exhibiting itself in a number of ways. Bridget seems to be adjusting pretty well too as she is exhibiting all the behaviors of a 2 ½ year old. When in Wal-Mart she wants what she sees and screams when she doesn’t get it. We have a little training to do at home I think! In Malawi there wasn’t much to see and even less to buy so these things didn’t come up. I also seem to have forgotten how to cook for a group this large and thanks to our church ladies I have meals in the freezer otherwise we would be eating cereal every night. Actually we really like cereal and toast and it seems like the best breakfast around after not having it for 15 months.
Please continue to pray for the nursery—the management, caregivers and the babies still need our prayers. Lisa
